OLETC is seeking
volunteers
to serve as
role players/inmates for the
2008
Mock Prison Riot. Role players serve a vital role in
the technology evaluation and training process for this event.
Participating teams repeatedly tell us that the technology they
utilize coupled with realistic role players are what make this
event stand out.
Primarily we are looking for people to play the roles of inmates
and hostages. Our scenarios vary greatly and are tailored as much
as possible to what each participating team needs or requests.
From the prison yard to the cell blocks to the dining hall –
we may need only one or two inmates or we may need up to 15 to
20 for any given scenario. For 2008, we plan to execute nearly
70 scenarios over the 3-day Riot period.
Many participating teams prefer to utilize their own agency members
as inmates, and we are always greatly appreciative of teams who
are able to do this. However, as participation in the Riot has
grown significantly over the past few years, there are still many
teams who depend on us to provide inmates for their scenarios.
This is where volunteer role players come in.
If you would like to be a role player, information for the
2008
Riot is as follows:
Days: Monday - Wednesday
Dates: 12-14 May 08
Time: 8 am – 5 pm each day
Location: The grounds of the former West Virginia
Penitentiary in Moundsville
901 – 8th St., Moundsville, WV 26074
We are so very thankful to have such great technologists, teams,
and volunteers who contribute to making this premiere, world-wide
event such a tremendous success every year. Those who offer their
time and talent to this event help shape the future of technology
advancements and tactics in the law enforcement and corrections
industry. Your consideration and participation are deeply appreciated.
