Important Information About The OLETC Mock Prison Riot®

1. Firearms
NO LIVE AMMUNITION OR LIVE CHEMICAL AGENTS ARE PERMITTED ON SITE. Your firearm will be rendered inoperable prior to your entrance on the prison grounds. OLETC utilizes professional law enforcement for weapons check at the South Gate of the former West Virginia Penitentiary. You will present your firearm prior to entrance and our weapons checker will ensure that it is all clear, insert a safety device, and tape off the barrel. There are no gun lockers at the prison.

2. Parking
No parking will be permitted inside the prison walls.

3. Waivers
Video taping and still photographs are taken at various locations throughout the Mock Prison Riot and Skills Competition events. If you would like to videotape or photograph teams as they are executing their scenarios, you must have the team leader’s permission. Prior to entering the facility for the Mock Prison Riot you will be required to sign a Video Waiver and an Injury Waiver. Click here to review the waivers.

4. Safety
